The Association of Cypriot Women in Tourism, member of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, co-organizes with the Cyprus University of Technology, the Forum “Climate Change and Tourism – Hot Business?”

The forum will take place on Tuesday, 29 September 2009, at 6 pm, at the Hilton Hotel, Nicosia and is organized within the framework of the World Tourism Day.

The Cyprus Institute researchers, Professor Jos Lelieveld and Nobel Laureate Professor Paul Crutzen, have been invited as keynote speakers. Professor Paul Crutzen was awarded a Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1995 for his work on the destruction of the ozone layer.

The Minister of Education and Culture, Dr. Andreas Demetriou will address the Forum.
A Round Table Discussion will follow with panelists:
Charalambos Theopemptou, Commissioner for the Environment
Manthos Mavrommatis, President, Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Phoevi Katsouri, Director General, Cyprus Tourism Organization
Professor Costas Papanicolas, President, The Cyprus Institute
Dr. Costas Papastavros, Senior Environment Officer, Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment

The Forum will be held in the Greek and English language. Journalist Lefteris Adilinis will act as moderator.

A cocktail reception will follow at 8 pm.
